2017 FSRA F350/Post Classic & pre-injection Sidecar Championship
Last year the 2016 FSRA F350 Post Classic Preinjection championship was successful and was a great season with fifteen registered teams. Last year we witnessed teams of all ages and abilities.
The F350’s and Post Classics classes were put together but unfortunately not enough entered for there to be a championship for these classes last year. There are still dormant teams out there with F350’s and PC’s so I want to keep the class names alive and the opportunity for their possible resurrection.
Whereas the Preinjection class has grown with all taking part in last year’s championship have committed to carry on for the new season. With new teams planning joining us, three wheels and an engine with carburettors is all you need.
New for 2017 we have sponsorship from Lane building services and Breitenbach Rennsport/Pagid Racing that are providing financial support for our championship.
We have increased the number of rounds to seven in 2017 with 24 races over seven venues. Starting with Oulton Park, a new venue for us will be a two day meeting at Donington and old favourites Aintree, Anglesey and East Fortune. New is a planned first a two day meeting at Mallory with the final round being the Sidecar bash at Cadwell.
Three of our rounds also coincided with rounds of the ACU/FSRA British F2 sidecar championship, so great weekends for sidecar enthusiasts.
Both drivers and passengers must to be members of the FSRA, membership forms are available to download or can be issued on request, for 2017 we do require teams to register, there is no bond fee to pay, a registration form is available, please returned to myself before the start of the season, the reasons for this is to see how many teams are interested and provide me with contact address and e mail details. This registration form and the 2017 championship poster have been attached and please contact me if you have any questions.
My final advice would be that please ensure your 2017 race entries are in well before the closing date as soon as possible, as last minute entries cannot guarantee a ride. Early entries will also show the hosting club your commitment. Have a happy new year and I know I am not alone looking forward to the new season.

Hi Dave - afraid I'm a bit confused - the above quoted part of your message might lead anyone to think there are 2 separate championship classes - whereas the poster title appears to have 1 single championship for all ?The F350’s and Post Classics classes were put together but unfortunately not enough entered for there to be a championship for these classes last year. There are still dormant teams out there with F350’s and PC’s so I want to keep the class names alive and the opportunity for their possible resurrection.
Could you clarify the actual situation ?

Re: 2017 FSRA F350/Post Classic & pre-injection Sidecar Championship
Gordon the quick answer is it will be only one championship and not two separate classes. Last year in total we only had two F350 and three Post Classics all season and yourself being the main F350 entrant doing three of the six rounds .Only at one meeting, Anglesey we had the best turn out with only two 350’s and three PC’s, unfortunately that was not sufficient to have a championship just for us. This year will be like 2016 we will be put together as one championship, sponsored by Lane building services and Breitenbach Rennsport Pagid racing. In reality we should be running with clubs like the CRMC but their regulations rule us out. As you know the other side of the channel we are welcomed with their rules accepting our FSRA eligibility of engine date increase to1984 cut off. Our classes in this country died three four years ago but my hope is that the 350’s and PC’s do resurrect themselves and we have a class again for ourselves within this FSRA championship. Without support from our classes all I can do is keep the 350 Post Classic name alive and a couple of us battle with the rest.

Thanks for the reply Dave...as you say - not enough F350 / PC support...although I have to say - with the wide margin in performance between the PI & F350 / PC - there are a few that will never support it without a class split - chicken / egg situation really & no guarantee that the support would be there if the classes were split..
As you say - the only way we can get a race is by traveling abroad - to compete in a series where the date cut off is a bit closer to the age of our bikes.

Re: 2017 FSRA F350/Post Classic & pre-injection Sidecar Championship
Let get this pefectly clear now,We should NOT ,and should NEVER run,in the CRMC. Their cut off date is pre 72.
I thought you would have learned by now that moving cut off dates forward messes classes up.and results in period bikes being shut away in sheds and garages.
Leave the CRMC alone, lets not fuck up thier classes,as well as our own.
If you want to race in the CRMC,buy or build a bike to fit their rules,do not bend rules/ adapt classes to fit what you have, its broodily selfish.

Not far off there Tony - how's this for an idea...
Pre 72 Classic
Pre 82 Post Classic
As you say - moving cut off dates only buggers up the current classes...
Pre 72 Classic
Pre 82 Post Classic

I'd say - if you want to race in ANY class - build or buy one to suit that class - don't change the class to suit the bike you have....tonybsa2008 wrote:If you want to race in the CRMC,buy or build a bike to fit their rules,do not bend rules/ adapt classes to fit what you have, its broodily selfish.
