Never seen anything like it. Quite funny bumping into H on the top of a hill, that was a proper look of surprise
Well done all 8)

Steve, I'm never surprised by you, my dear! Hadn't clocked Clookie, though. We'd been broken down for about an hour, and just got the car sorted and Michael's blisters fixed. Knew the Red cross fella, and then saw you... no hiding place...eh?

Poor Michael got pushed through a huge puddle on the TT Access road and as a result was walking with wet feet all the way. He got massive blisters and was very very cold (although he thought he wasn't!). Made it to the top of the Sloc and then gave up. Learned a lot and he's keen to do next year's and maybe the End to End in September (It's only about 50 miles!). Think he did very well for a first time. Very proud of him.
Dan an I were the same Helen, my feet are a mess... An yet the year it was hail stoning and raining from start to end i didnt get 1 blister :/ i think it was because of the wet to dry so many times personaly. O An dan has 2 stress fractures in his shin caused by over walking I am starting my training nxt wk for nxt year.. I going to walk till its dark lol (dont want to walk afta it's dark as its scary lol) it's all in the mind anyway I say. Joking aside its a bloody good day I think, strange an hard work but fun lol well done to all xxx
You just can't predict it. I did loads of training last year, 50 miles a week and could hardly move on the Monday. I only had 4 blisters but they were big, open wounds. This year, on no training, I have 6 blisters, almost healed already and no leg or hip stiffness at all. Wouldn't know I'd done it! Raring to go for next year!!!!

I think you need to look up something called "moleskin" or failing that masking or electrical tape work in a pinch. Not really sure what a "parish walk" is but I did a lot of Volks-march's as a kid and a lot of backpacking as a young adult.
