Is there any age limit on helmets,I had 2 bespoke helmets made by Everoak a while back, they are fibreglass, ACU gold sticker and have the double D strap been kept properly in hemet bags and out of the light, problem being when you go to the continent they seem to want a Euro type tag in them, any ideas?
Thanks

Re: approved helmets
There is no ACU rule giving a maximum age on helmets.
Having said that all clubs seem to make up rules as they go along.
It doesn't help when Arai state that helmets should be changed after 3 years, I've just bought a Shoei with a 5 year warranty.
If your hat has an ACU sticker you could probably be able to argue the whys and wherefores when 'sur la continent'

I took the shell off my racing snail thinking it would make him faster.
It just made him more sluggish.
