Snetterton 300 Gearings?

Unread post by DanAllcorn1986 »

Hi all!

I'm brand new to sidecar racing this year and have (after much battling with time off from work!) finally managed to get my first race entry booked for Snetterton 300 in 2 and a half weeks.

The motor is a ZX6R (2000) and I did a test day at Mallory a few weeks ago where I ran a 14:43 combination which was based on the advice of the previous owners and worked well for the circuit. However; as I am still learning as I go, I have had a quick look at gearing calculators to what I thought would be best for Snetterton 300 circuit but I thought I would ask if anyone would possibly be prepared to give me advice on what gearings may work for the bike or what they would use?

Any advice or feedback would be gratefully received!

Cheers everyone and look forward to seeing you out there....!

Dan :)

Hi Deano, thanks for the reply mate. I was originally thinking of trying 14, 40 so I think you're right with trialling the 14, 41 first and see how it goes on the practice day! Cheers :D
