I have fdb342 cp911 disc pads in Bill Curries old f2 windle, and now because i am only using the outfit at present for sprints, and demo runs i need a different disc pad to inprove the brake efficiency.Any suggestions on what type of pad, and where to purchase them from.

Re: Brake pads
Hi Rob
We have most of what you need in stock including complete new Windle discs as I was Windle's disc supplier until he retired.
Re Pads, the rotors are made of Ductile Iron so it is not recommended to run sintered pads as they will give good bite, but will destroy your discs in the process. This does depend however on how hot your discs will get. You will get away with a good quality sintered pad if you run them cold, but beware, most sintered pads are not good quality.
A good middle of the road pad would be Ferodo 342 Platinum compound, but there are other options.
The problem with race pads like the CP911 is that they do need to run hot to work properly.
If you need any more help, just give us a shout. Wal
