Steam Racket
This weekend is the British sidecar trial round here on the island. We met up with some friends who are riding and was told that they paid £135 each for 2 nights at the Palace hotel, but best of all only £35 for the van on the boat, all this arranged by the trials club! How come they can do it but not at the TT.Perhaps they are bringing more revenue to the island.

Unfortunately Tim, it is all about supply and demand, when no one wants to use the service, it costs next to nothing, try getting on a train at rush hour at a reasonable price.

Re: Steam Racket
I was thinking more about the fact that a reasonably small club managed to set up a deal with the Steam Packet. Surely this is possible for the TT.

Re: Steam Racket
If 20 people want to go at the end of November, when no-one else wants to go, they will nearly give you the tickets but if you want to go last week in May or first week in June, you are up against thousands that want to go, I ended up with a last minute deal last year, because they said there were no places, they had put the tickets out to travel agents and they weren't sold, so I dropped on when they got the surplus back, I booked for this year in November and got the tickets 25% cheaper than last year.
