TT survey

Unread post by Jo Warriner »

Some worrying questions on there. Being asked to choose if you prefer solo or sidecar racing, for instance. Fan parks with big screens, live TV coverage.

Have completed it as honestly as I can ;)
It is true about the sidecar family - you can stop racing but you can never, ever leave!

As Jo say's, "There are some worrying questions" Solo's or Sidecars/Fan parks?? How long will it be before all spectators will be able to spectate from Fan parks/ grandstands (at additional Cost) Or from their armchair (No doubt pay to view) ONLY! It is getting ludicrous,Who decides which of these many "Safe Viewing spots" are prohibited? Its a real shame that the T.T is going down hill fast!

Was a bit worried about posting this topic - I did wonder if I was overreacting, so I'm glad to see similar thoughts.

I too completed it in all honesty and with no bias AT ALL ;)

What load of wobblers. Why didn.'t they just ask which solo racers we wanted to see from our pens? Was it only a survey forr speccys that have only been to the ft 4 times or less!
Sorry for the typos, not used to surfing by phone, being a dinosaur.

A bit worrying as you don't know who will use the survey and how they would interpret the results. Best just tick 'sidecar' and not worry about the rest!

By the sound of things it feels like the TT organisers may have finally woken up to the idea of asking what people expect from the TT experience in the modern age = Internet/Ipods/phones etc.
And just by chance I have been working along side a chap who works for Energy FM who would give nothing away but don't be surprised if Manx Radio loose the contract to cover all sports on the IOM IN 2012.

Was I hearing things but isn't Chris Kinley due to move on to greater things after TT 2011 ?

My only thought about the survey was it assumed everyone only turned up for race week, and did not cater for folks who could only make practice week and or selected day trips during race week...

Thanks anyway, after supporting the TT for the last 30 years someone got round to asking me what I thought about how it could be improved to suit everyone...

Regards,

Doug,,,

PS, Remember what it costs to go to the British GP for race day will almost cover the cost of getting to the IOM by ferry for a week or so, and you will be closer to the action than you will ever imagine....

With you on bit of that Fritz, when I go over to watch it's half of practice week and first sidecar race then home, not too many days off, cheaper flights out (and back) .. and of course I can get the site back up to speed quicker ;)
