Cadwell today

Unread post by RP »

Bit of a muddle today - one sidecar event abandoned after two red flags. Both seperate incidents in the chicane after Mansfield. Not sure about details although I believe one passenger taken to hospital. Tim's dad went well on his immaculate Konig, Grant and Ian disappeared in their race, don't know why? A machine described by the commentator as the Greenwood Mini very obviously wasn't, Tuer's Morgan was going like usual - in front of everyone else. Weather was superb. Excellent day out. Oh, and I'm thinking of getting a Lambretta!

The abandoned race was eventually run at the end of the day but with a diminished field. The greenwood device is apparently number 3 of 6 which were built in the day and has a credible provenance. Worth having a chat with current owner Gordon White. Look forward to seeing you race with BSSO next year RP

Following 2 great races Saturday (despite awful starts!) in the only race we had Sunday the clutch played up slipping like mad on the run down Park so we pulled off :( Really frustrating but that is racing! Roll on 2016 Camathius Cup :D
