I really don't get the Car V Bike thing ever since Phil Read on a brand new TZ 750 Yamaha was pitched against an ex F1 Grand Prix car on a reverse route from Signpost corner to Creg ny Ba during the late 70's, and was beaten by quite a margin.

Then again at an early BSB round at Knock hill in the late 80's a lunch time demo lap with the use of a 10 year old Formula 1 car simply made the bikes look stupid by lapping the track some 15 seconds a lap quicker ,

What is the point ?

FFS,,,
