Dicky Gale
What happened to Dicky Gale?
All I can find out is that he had a 'non racing related illness' which caused him and Greg to retire.
Hope he is OK.

Re: Dicky Gale
Dicky had chest pains during the race, he's in CCU at Nobles, tests show not a stroke or heart attack and he was fine when we saw him on Sunday (other than climbing the walls & wanting to get out!)
Going for full MRI scan today. Hopefully nothing serious.

He was disappointed he didn't get on ITV4 and wonders what he has to do to achieve this!

Re: Dicky Gale
He says he lost feeling in his left arm at Greeba, and as they carried on he got steadily worse chest pains till he eventually blacked out at Keppel Gate. He managed to hold Kate's while blind and beat up Greg till he pulled in at the Creg where he just flopped off the back of the outfit.
After that he remembers seeing a lot of faces and lots of voices but only really picked out the Heart Surgeon on the pub balcony shouting down instructions (only at the TT!) and the doctor in the helicopter that told him he could wave to the grandstand as they flew past, forgetting that Dicky couldn't move his arms (much to Dicky's amusement)
As Sam has already said he's going for an MRI and is currently passing the time listening to the radio from Helen and winding up the nurses because he's realized that if he holds his breath the alarms on his monitors go off and everyone comes running

Dicky's escaped from Nobles and got home, don't be surprised to see him marshaling at Westwood (13th).

Re: Dicky Gale
Hi all
Just to confirm that the stories of my death have been slightly exagerated
I am still here on the Island back home and bored stiff.
It was a bit surreal walking through the paddock on the thursday when a large french speaking person I had never seen before walked up to me and burst into tears then started hugging me and shaking me around thn explained that he had been told I had died on saturday and he had to grab hold of me to make sure I wasn't a ghost, I have had a few simmilar reactions of others I knew but at least they knew i was alive before they seen me.
Marc was right in what he but out I lst the feeling in my left arm going through Michael on lap 1 and missed my handle at Ginger and nearly got tipped out, so I jammedmy arm behind he handle and carried on thiking it was just a bang on the nerve or something.
By Ramsey on lap 2 I was in trouble and couldnt breathe properly, By the bungalow I had chest pains and by Kepple I could hardly see so i thought I had locked out for the 2 lefts and the cottage but a marshall has told me since that my right arm was just flapping around so I dont know how I held on there. Managed to bang Greg to stop at th creg and then passed out. I have ben told that I am the Patrick Muamba of chairs now cos The medic on the corner was a CCU nurse and there was a heart surgeon there as well and they worked on me for 20 mins or so till I was Choppered out. Cant thank them guys enough lads
though I think the wife is regreting it now as I aint a very good patient at home here
I did not have a heart attack and the MRI has proved that they actually found a brain and there seems to be nothing wrong with it either probably due to lack of use in the past (thought I would get that in before anyone else did) They are treating me as having a TIA thats a small blled on or in the brain but cant prove anything else.
Dont know what the future is gonna hold but the swines have taken me car/PSV nd HGV liceces of me for now, but heard nothing from ACU can any one else help here whats the score with them do I have to call them or what ?
If poss I will be back at some stage, need 2 more TT starts to go equall with Geoff knight and if i do that he will by me a beer I remembr that much (but I bet he wont)
Better go now have bored you all enough and must be something on tv by now

Is that the longest post you've ever made on the internet? At least you must get free bus pass so you can still get around the island. Don't stay in and annoy Monika!
