The Ben my Chree collided with a seaward fender in Douglas last night damaging the vessel and the fender. The sailing from the Isle of Man to Heysham last night and return to the Island this morning was carried out by the fast craft, Manannin. The scheduled Heysham sailing this morning has been cancelled and tonight's sailing is in the ballance. Manannin is sailing between Douglas and Liverpool today, as scheduled. It looks like the TT problems are starting early this year, hopefully they will be sorted earlier this year and all sailings will be on time.
No pleasure is worth giving up for the sake of two more years in a geriatric home.
21 days til we're on the Ben.. best they get it sorted

It's an annual tradition to crash the Ben just before TT to give us all a scare and give the papers and radio something to talk about...don't panic.... yet....lol!
Be fair Simon, they only get about 720'ish goes each year to get it right.Perhaps they were trying it a bit faster so they can provide a speedy and efficient and trouble free service for you TT visitors.Or perhaps they were watching that squadron of pigs flying over!
