Transponders needed

Unread post by Fanch »

The French Sidecar newcomer teams need 3 (three) transponders to be borrowed during the IOM TT.

We'll arrive on Monday the 20th of May and go back home on Thursday the 6th of June in the evening.

Fast transponders welcome !

My friend Gail Griffiths has one she will lend, for a small, returnable deposit. I'll sort it out at TT time.

She lent it to Andy Laidlow years ago, and when she saw his lap times she said "Wow, it never went that fast for me!"

Gail (as Gail Musson) is the only woman to do a 100mph lap of the TT Course on a 125cc solo. She is only 4'11", and is now one of the Isle of Man's top athletes, beating women half her age! :notworthy:

Won't be a problem. I can think of a couple of our solo lads who will not be doing the TT and would lend theirs. Sort it when you get here! :D :witch:

Hi,

I've got a spare you can borrow as long as you don't go faster than me.

I'll bring it with me. Do you need the number?

Thank you, Simon. (we don't need the number now, only at the signing on)

Another one and it'll be marvelous.

I always bring my transponder over with me Fanch just in case anybody needs one, Dean Harrison used it last year when his sponsored solos arrived without one. It will come complete with charger(s) and mounting bracket and can be used with pleasure if still needed  . It got two newcomer awards in 2002 so hopefully it might do the same again this year, we won't mention the high jumping and somersaults it did in 2007

Thank you Dan, top man.

Now my collection seems to be complete. Lovely.

And, if this transponder carries happiness, Estelle will carry it.
Maybe she could be the fastest newcomer with it.

If anyone else needs during TT fortnight, I am sure a number of the local riders who are not competing would be willing to lend... just contact me and I'll put you in touch.
