I don't think you can hear Robin cheering Helen, more like complaining......"Why isn't she thumping him on the back for messing up through Edwina's, like she used to with me"
He got one of his wishes though, to get Annette out on an outfit again. A happy yet sad moment and a big well done to Annette for doing it , not forgetting thank you to John.

I hope he would Steve
You know Robin would be proud of you getting out there and carrying on like he wanted you to Annette......and he DID want you to you know. As Richard says, we are all proud of you. It was a pity Cadwell was called off but let's hope for better luck at Croft.

I didn't mess it up Dan, I just went in a little "hot"
its an honour and pleasure to have you on board Annette. I can't wait for Croft at the weekend.
Ive no doubt the old boy will be looking down on us and smiling.

The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight.
But they, while their companions slept, were toiling upwards in the night.

I understand what you are saying John, it was passenger error eh?

Robin smiling at you is nothing to be complacent about John, he always smiled. He even smiled when he launched a fuffing calor gas bottle at my leg in the Scarborough paddock.....and the smile then turned to broody laughter when he realised he had only half crippled me and not done a complete job, not that there was far to go before he even started
There was nothing that Robin liked better than to see people enjoying themselves racing, except perhaps enjoying racing himself. It didn't matter to him if he was first or last as long as he could have a good race with somebody, and if he got away without a rollicking from Annette for letting his youthful exhuberance run away with him then so much the better.
Oh by the way John. I will be at Croft so it will be no good saying to anybody "Don't tell Dan", like you did at Mallory

You know how much I wish I could ride that beautiful bike Annette, Robin tried to get me riding it often enough too , but you also know how much pain my legs were giving me the last time at Mallory when I rode it to the scrutineering bay and back
