Don't get caught out. If I've read it right doesn't it say 50% off standard fare. In the 12 years we have lived here we have never paid the standard fare. I think you will still pay the normal £250ish for a return car + 2. Last year I think the standard car + 2 was around £350, myself I don't know anyone who paid that.Surely the Steam Racket haven't turned over a new leaf.

Simon think about it, if you fly you have to sit in a warm departure area, get onto a plane that has you here nearly before you set off, when you get to this end you have to walk maybe 100m to get out the airport.
The other option is the Bendy Cherry. On arrival at Heysham you are welcomed with open arms. If you have a van they are very good because they have your vehicle checked to make sure it safe to use.In the hostilaty building which is the most amazing air conditioned building ever, you are given piping hot drinks to welcome you. Once on board for your relaxing cruise across the pond, fantastic on board facalties including the most comfy seats ever made. on board entertainment, telly's with the sound turned off, Gordon Blue cooking at really amazing prices. Most of all though you have time to chill out before you arrive at the Island feeling all refreshed and happy. If you are a foot passenger you even get a 10 min. walk included this end.
Surely that's value for your money. Are you sure you want to fly???

But Tim, you forgot about the 4hr drive up the M6, the motorway with no traffic.

It's great to see that the petrol is nice and cheap as well.

It's about £100 return from Birmingham airport, 10 mins from my house. I can hire a cheap car when I get there.
