Mega circuit, great fun to ride (and watch)....loved it!

Need the IOM Government to stop wasting money on film schemes and repair the Jurby roads!

I marshalled there once, it looked scary from where I was put.

It was a case of we need volunteers to marshal before the racing can start. All those who want to volunteer take one step forward. There was a push in my back from a certain Welsh man and that was it I was a marshal for the day

I got the 'King of the Roads' Trophy there with non other than Black Bill (Billy Quayle) in 1996/7 ish.

We passed Keith Griffin and Peter Cain in the last corner for, I think, 2nd place. Never have I hung our of a sidecar so far into a left to stop them coming back at us, although Keith did ram my arse with the nose of his bike in a good effort to get back past.

Quality track but was all know the 57 million is so much better invested in the film studio :o

That video brought back some memories! :D

I passengered for Billy Quayle on Jurby South in 1992.
On the 3rd lap, I came down hard on the wheel arch on the bumpy hill coming up to the paddock entrance, I actually heard a crack inside my helmet and realised that it wasn't the wheel arch that had gone when I felt a sharp pain.....which only got worse. God knows how I managed to cling on for the next 3 laps..............I seriously thought of bailing out on the left hander onto the start/finish straight,as that seemed about the slowest place, but I reasoned that there was only another lap to go and I desperately needed the points towards my International Licence. (Passenger points counted the same as driver points in those days and I was desperate to get in at the TT)
I was seriously hurting at the end of the race and it was later found that I had cracked 3 ribs. :o

One of my most memorable races and most valued trophies.................we won the F2 class! :D

Have got to say that jurby road was the best circuit around, like Nicky Crowe I loved it, it was filmed from Brians Bike and I have to say the full version was so much better than what is on Utube it includes all the practice and the race (even shows Molly shaving all the grass of the hedge passing a certain Mr T Reeves up the start finnish straight) Brian and me won the king of the jurby roads back in 2006 and it was one of my proudest moments in racing to finally get it. I have a photo taken back in 98 of Me in the chair with Kevin Christian coming over the jump at the Pill box on a TZ750 Ireson and I am lying flat on my belly nd looking sound, but trouble is I am a foot higher than the faring  and I can promise it did hurt on landing :o and it hurt more to end the race in 2nd behind a certain Mike Mashetter.
Get the money back out of Mr Bonds film set and resuface the best and fastest little circuit on the island, lets get off the boring airfield and back on the roads again.

As the southern comentary said "dicky gale is still bouncing around like a teenager" (just with alot less hair I blame the wife)
