No you are right John, no where near Maria. I think my quickest is 99.something in 1999ish and 92 at the Southern100 in 2005.

Oh and just to big myself up a bit seeing as you asked 92mph in 1997 at the Southern100 on the very day I got the all clear from Cancer and a week after having my appenndix (can't spell it) out and racing with 26 metal staples in my side with a pampers nappy as protection.

But this is sidecars not solo's and there are not many sidecars that have done Maria's lap times either so I can't see how you point is relevant.

My point is she has an MBE for what? McPint doesn't have one, Moly doesn't have one, Dan Sayle doesn't have one, so what did Maria do exactly to get hers? Yeah ok she maybe once was the quickest female rider but not any more. I appreciate you can't take an MBE away form her but there comes a point where you stop living off it.

See ain't that good.

And what`s the fastest lap you`ve been driven round the Island, Fitz? Nowhere near Maria Costello`s I`ll wager.
Much as I enjoy looking at the fairer sex, I wouldn't have even opened a video entitled 4 minutes of random ladies faces, which this is essentially. So perhaps you shouldn't make assumptions about other people's lives without just a teensy bit more evidence.

It will definitely be a more interesting thing to watch with names accompanying, or knowing what relationship if any the ladies have with the sport. Otherwise it could just have been shot in the local supermarket. I guess that's what you're getting at Vaughan.

John I reckon Fitz has been round on a sidecar quicker than Maria - so far :D Wait til she gets old enough to be a driver, then we'll see :D

You just need to know that they are involved with the TT in some way, names don't matter. In there somewhere are, besides the ones Kelly's list gives, ladies at the S100 HQ cafe, 2 French competitors' mums, Rose and the wonderful Vera at the TTSC shop, Suki (TTSC Japan) , HC -Press Office, Mrs W, Deb's mate, and obvious St John's Ambulance, laundrette ladies, journos, riders' wives etc. I thought it really worked well and was better for being in b/w. Talented lady, Anaisse!

I guess whoever took the pics didn't ask their names. Helen was not aware her's had been taken. I do think it was a good idea though. Nice to look at as the lady's are often in the support team's.

The lady involved with Dougie's side of thing's is Michelle she's Canadian, and just loves sidecar racing.
