Race Office Staff

Unread post by john newton »

Michelle and Sarah in the Race Office never see one minute of any race but have to try to answer thousands of questions from all directions. There have often been 3-4 people behind the counter in previous years, now just two and IMHO they do a magnificent job. Also Gary Thompson, the new Clerk Of The Course: the last few days would have tested anybody, but everyone I spoke to was full of praise for the regular updates with full explanation to parc ferme, pit lane and above all, the spectators. In the past, there has often been a lot of criticism, and not without good reason so, happy to give credit when it's due!

Second those comments, people that do a lot of work behind the scenes don't get the credit they deserve, without them no racing would go ahead.

This was my first TT but I would also like to say how pleasant, helpful and professional every member of the TT management team were ... from the C of the C letting the boys do their own controlled lap ..... the lovely girls on front desk ..... to Lloyd in his little portacabin mending a tap for us

Thank you to everybody

The atmosphere this year has been so different, because of one person... the new clerk of the course. He has encouraged and supported the lovely people who do the behind-the-scenes work, and has been approachable, cheerful and taken a lateral-thinking approach throughout. Three cheers for Gary T! :witch:

I have to agree the race office staff were so helpful and if they didn't have the answer, they knew who would. :notworthy: :notworthy:
I think Gary Thompson did a great job, very approachable and helpful. :notworthy: :notworthy:
