Re: Claudes got his bike back.
It was reported that passenger Laurent only broke his wrist but there was another break, the sacrum (a triangular bone formed from fused vertabrae and situated between the two hip bones of the pelvis - dictionary defn.). He was flown to Paris on Tuesday and faces several weeks in hospital. He was in quite good spirits last Sunday but on painkillers galore, any movement and he flinched. Just a few bruises for Claude, who was his normal self back in the paddock, doing his Groucho Marx walk after any female.............

Get well soon, Laurent. Sounds horribly painful.

Re: Claudes got his bike back.
heard they clipped the bank at ginger hall and flipped over trapping Laurent as it went over before sliding down the road, i believe Laurent is now retiring from the the sport, missus and family to consider, a real gentleman and a great friend, will surely be missed hope he recovers ok but may take some time.

Re: Claudes got his bike back.
note the fact it is red rusty in the pics after not being recovered and left out in the rain all night
However i believe that when this was bought to the attention of the clerk and paul philips it was swiftly dealt with . Seems there was quite a problem with this recovery system as conrad was also left stranded somewhere near the 33rd
..... however could have been worse could have been ramsey hairpin
