Peter at oliver's mount is opening up the Barry Sheene clasic meeting on sunday 24th of June to include F2 sidecars if enough boys and girls get their entry in ( 25th May) this class WILL run. Oliver's Mount is a fantastic place to race .it's also bike week, taking in hill climbs, music, sprints and much much more..I know it's just after the TT but we must try and get a good grid of F2s on circuit at Scarborough..you can call Sue on ..01723 373000 for more info ..thank you .
this might be a good time for those who have fancied doing it in the past but have either been late sending entries (like me ) or have thought they would be out gunned by the fast boys, to have a go. I'm sure there must be a few new faces to be seen there.
No doubt it will be first come first served for the 10 or 12 places on the grid. Who know's if enough enter, Pete might put heats on??????

The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight.
But they, while their companions slept, were toiling upwards in the night.
Howard was talking to Peter on Saturday at the Hill Climb. Priority is being given to Classic Sidecars that are entered by the closing date (of which there are several entered already), due to this being primarily a classic bike racing meeting.

just talked to Sue at OM, she said that there are not many classic outfits entered at the moment ....she also said that if there were enough F2s Peter would run heats people love to see sidecars on the Mount so GET your entry in ..classics as well as F2s you can ring the circuit office for more info on...01723373000..got our entry in
Are Claire and I too novice to enter this? We are still pretty slow compared to most people. We have managed a 75mph lap at Tonfanau, while the quicker F2s are doing 89 or 90mph. So we are still well adrift.
Claire has only done 2 meetings so far (Anglesey and Tonfanau) so should we carry on with the small circuits to get a bit better before tackling Olivers Mount?

SORRY Katie Oliver's Mount is a road race ..you need a national licence .sometimes Peter allows clubman on merit .The more track time you can get will help you to up your times..EMRA Club run at Mallory Park ....if you can get a wed practice in before you do a meeting there, you will both know the way round when you get on that start line ..hope to meet up with you at some point x
That'll be a few years then! I am doing a lot more this year, as Claire sharing costs is a great help.
Although Claire is on the Island, I have entered Tonfanau and Anglesey with Jamie Richardson, who has begun passengering this year. Claire is marshalling on the Island, so no doubt she'll make herself known to you in the paddock.
Claire and I are entering Aintree on 14th July, and we will be doing the other Tonfanaus and Angleseys later in the year, and of course the Festival in October. So will see you there if not before.
