Cheers RP. The wet one has certain memories ...
It is true about the sidecar family - you can stop racing but you can never, ever leave!

Re: A few classic pics
First pic,one of the Magnum's ?? 3rd pic Mallory late 60's early 70's ??
Re: A few classic pics
John you are right, the first picture is Graham on the Magnum. I have the only spare 500cc Magnum engine, I may build a bike to race it when time allows. I think it was the first British 500 sidecar to lap the TT over 100mph.

Re: A few classic pics
It's the 1975 TT. Graham and Tony were given numbers 51 & 52 as they had not previously competed in the TT. The other Magnum was ridden by Rob Williamson in his last TT. Graham finished 28th in the 500cc race but came 4th in the 1000cc race. Tony did not finish either race. Rob came 7th and 8th. I watched the race with their entrant Brian Eaton (from Paul Taylor BJE Ltd). We were both sponsors of the Magnum team. I persuaded Tony to enter both the Beezumph and the VMCC 1000 bikes festival in 2009 with the 750cc British Magnum. Brian later sponsored Steve Sinnott but there was a bit of a falling out when Steve failed to attend a dinner party which Brian had laid on but went on the p!ss instead. Isn't that right Jim?
