Just got back from the 1135 showing of the film, and what a film it was! only 7 of us there, it really needs more publicity, my only downside was the lack of sidecar action.
Roll on June and a safe TT11 to all.

Thought it was great but cinema less than half full.
I didn't see quite why it needed to be in 3D to be honest
Great humour & a few tantrums from Guy & loads of amazing racing.

A stunning film. A superb piece of cinema with breathtaking photography, the sheer scale of the event is enhanced by the 3D. Funny in parts, emotional and tense in others, this film will probably not change any opinions. For example, if you think Guy Martin is a winker this will confirm it (literally). If you think he is a 'character' you'll love him more. Personally I could have done without the descriptions of his nocturnal habits but that's my only gripe.
The film doesn't seek to either ignore or sensationalise the dark side of the TT. This is handled with sensitivity and the contributions of Paul Owen and Mrs Dobbs are are emotional without being overly sentimental.
Even though you know the events of the Senior, the tension is captured superbly. For me, the main achievement of this film is to give an insight into the mindset of competitors, family and loved-ones. John McGuinness comments that he likes to put everything in order before he goes to the TT in case he doesn't come back. I well remember doing the same.
This film will strengthen the love of the TT for its supporters and will harden the attitude of the knockers but one cannot help but be impressed by the top competitors.
Personally, for me, the TT is summed up perfectly by Steve Sinnott's cameo where he says " If you don't find this exciting then you're not alive" Vintage Sinnott!!
So how long have I had these voices in my head, I hear you ask?

I agree with you roadracer top film totally summs up the mind set one needs for the island and the understanding that friends and fammils have with regardsd to the island. Apprently this film is out for general release laetr this month hopefully this will launch new interedt in the island and even though not that much sidecars on it (as guy is a smelly solo rider after all!!) the little bit we got stood us in good sted I thought, show's we're just as commited and prepare just as much as any one else.

We went last night, it's great. As always not enough slideys but what there was did us proud I thought.
It was quite a busy showing at showcase. 3D was stunning. Well done to all concerned

Took my dad to see it last night, those of you who know him know he's not really into films etc. (if you can't take it apart with a spanner then it's not really his thing), we both really enjoyed it. As other's have said more slidey action would have been nice but it was sensitively handled, well shot and really accessible.

If you havent seen it yet best hurry up before it's gone.

Writing this post with my ‘Grumpy old Git’ T’shirt on !!! :D

Watched the film and have to say the 3D side of it was very good, however ........

When will the Media stop sensationalizing our excellent sport to sell programmes ????

To quote the producer at the TT launch, “we have captured hundreds of hours of footage to make this film” which in my humble opinion has to beg the question, why then did the film major on people who crashed ? That is not what TT racing is all about ! What about the other 297 TT competitors that year who didn’t crash and thousands of miles covered ? with more success and hard luck stories than you can shake a stick at !

Conor, Guy and Dobbsy, where the main thrust of the film, personally I don’t see capitalising on their misfortune as being indicative of the average TT racer, or would we want it to be.

If they wanted success why was Hutchy not the star or John McGuinness for a hard luck story, not to mention the trials and tribulations of most sidecar racers. Ian Hutchinson almost had as much footage of his leg-breaking incident over his record-breaking 5wins.

Positively the most negative piece of publicity for the TT I have ever seen, only redeeming feature being the novelty of the 3D viewing.

Rant over, but I hope you get my drift.
