just happened to find an Ireson/R6 Yamaha with a dry sump in the back of his garage !!!!!! :o :o :o :o :o :o ,lucky sod
well its tig welded,,I think Trevor started tig welding chassie's mid nineties, bike looks the same as Wally saunders R6 that i passengered 2003 TT,so my guess no older than 10yrs old.The double handle by the radiator is not standard, and could be a help in finding the old owners, the layout is typical Ireson and possibly has done the TT.

Wish I could find something like that at the back of my garage, in fact I wish that I could find anything in my garage

Have to admit as Bruce said, it does look like my old bike, but there again, all Trev’s bikes look the same !! Mine got changed a lot after I sold it.
As far as I know he didn’t build may R6 with dry sump system, possibly only three, mine, Andy Brown’s and one other that I’m not sure about.
It’s most likely the bike that was built for Andy Brown, then raced very successfully by Tony Elmer, who I think sold it to Dick Hawes, who probably sold it to whoever has it now , could be wrong, just my thoughts.
I don’t regret the things I did wrong, I do regret the things I did right. . .for the wrong people !

Hi Mark

Probably around 2001 -2002, but I wouldn’t get hung up about the age, it’s an Ireson so not prone to falling apart ! Depending what’s with it I would say that at £7500 it’s on the cheap side of the right price, if it’s got lots of wheels etc, it could fetch that kind of money without an engine.
