Total newbie looking to passenger

Hi all,

I’ve been thinking about starting as a sidecar passenger over the last few months. My uncle rod pearce was passengering for a while and has talked me into it. I always loved watching my uncles race as a kiddo and pretending while the outfit was in the paddock 😂

I am going to start looking into getting race licence etc sorted but wondered what the best route would be to go down. Do I need to get a race licence in order to have a try out if I can find someone willing? In terms of assisting financially, I’m up for chipping in as much as I reasonably can, I’m not sure about what the usual going rates are (half of all costs? Etc) but definitely something I’m happy to do.

I’m 30, 5’7 and 75kg (hoping to drop a bit, at least gf is anyway lol) , I live in Wellingborough and I’ve been riding bikes for a year or so on road, looking to do some track days and as a kid raced minimotos, not that it will help me much I’d imagine!

Look forward to hearing from anyone who’s interested.

Cheers

Stan Pearce

Look up the Sidecar Revival at Cadwell in August, there are Taxi rides but you must book. Come and have a go on a BEARs and look me up on face book and I can tell you what ever you need to know.

Awesome! Thank you. Just had a little look about BEARs and found you on Facebook. I’d love to go round cadwell too. So it sounds perfect.
