We had compulsory concussion testing for anyone in a crash at Nationals this year and have compulsory 21 day stand down if you have it

Derby Phoenix always asked: Have you suffered a head injury in the past 3 weeks? Yes or No

The ACU send out a list to clubs of anyone who has been found to have concussion caused during racing. If anyone tries to ride knownly having had concussion within the specified time scale which could have been caused at work or a fall etc,if found out they could have their licence withdrawn. They could be putting their fellow riders in danger and there is also insurance implications

Hi,

ACU Regulations on concussion are based on the age of the competitor. But, if you suffer concussion from a motorsport related incident at an ACU licenced event one weekend, with intention to compete in another the weekend after, regardless of your age you are unable to. The ACU place you on the "Stop List" for the duration of time as follow:

Aged 15 and Under: 24 Days
Aged 16-19: 12 Days
Aged 20 and Over: 9 Days

In addition to this, at the next meeting held under an ACU permit you intend to compete at, you have to have a medical note from a Medical Officer (Doctor) stating you are fit to race again.
