GSXR 600 Front Sprocket

Unread post by STEVIEBOY491 »

Hi there,
Front sprocket nut on my GSXR 600 K8 is knackered. It's more of a washer than a nut. Have found this one on ebay to replace: ON EBAY HERE
£16.95 :o :o :o for a nut!!
Does anyone know where I can get one at a more reasonable price?

Cheers :notworthy:

Suzuki Part # 09159-20004-000 - if that's the one - I can get one about £12 + post - I do keep a Yam 20mm sprocket nut - half that price if it's the same thread - can you check the pitch of the thread ?

A lot of the manufacturer parts prices are inflated on Ebay - must remember though - it will cost the seller approx 13% in ebay & paypal costs - so that price wasn't too far out - looks like that nut is not just an ordinary 20mm nut either...the Yam one is just a recessed nut - tightens up against a splined tab washer...
Give me a shout - if I can help I will...

It's a bit more than a washer, torqued to 83 lbft.

Sam,

It was little more than a washer as it had no threads left! The speed sensor bolt was holding it all together. Has now been changed.

Cheers
