the death of a truly great sidecar enthusiast antoine schmit who ran gedinne for many years was announced this morning r.i.p.and condolences to your family.

So very sorry to hear this. A fantastic man who loved the sidecars. Some very happy memories of times spent with Antoine, and the family, in the bar(s) at Gedinne and camping in his back garden. Sincere condolences to Annie and all the Schmit family.

R.I.P Antoine Schmit,

The Circuit Gedinne always made the British crews more than welcome and reminded me of how circuit racing in the UK used to be.

Sad to hear about "monsieur Schmit" as we used to call him. I remember him signing on sidecarteams at other events for the race on "his" circuit.
Many good memories. R.I.P. monsieur Schmit.

A great guy who loved the sport and made sidecar racing and the sidecar freternity most welcome he was such a good organizer and friend, and will be greatly missed, lets hope everything will continue to flourish in memory of this true gentleman of our sport.
