I believe that Colin Jacobs built one outfit with a single sided swinging arm. Does anyone know what happened to it and is it still being raced. Cheers !!!!!!

That is the bike Colin built for me in 1995, I used it for three seasons including three IOM tts.
Like all the bikes Colin built, the workmanship and build quality was second to none.
The difficult part was getting Colin to agree to build it as I wanted it, once this was ovecome he became very enthusiastic about the project.
After completion and testing, he commented, that it was the best outfit he had built.
Unfortunately due to deteriorating health it was the last bike that he built.
I sold the outfit to Dick Hawes at the end of 1998, he rode it at the TT in 1999, then sold it, I think it has had several owners and is now owned by Steve Ramsden.

Jimmy White had it following Dick, then Ben Beckworth rode it for several seasons; before he sadly lost his life in a road bike accident in 2006. Steve Ramsden acquired it a couple of years later.

I remember having a look round it at Mallory a few years ago. A fantastic piece of workmanship. Has Steve put it into retirement?

I have told Steve that you have been asking about the Jacobs so no doubt he will be coming on here, or rather son Matty will be. I told him you wanted to buy it off him for £25K so I shouldn't think it would be too long before he contacts you   Mind you I think Steve still prefers the Jacobs to the LCR :o
