Torrential rain hits second qualifying

Unread post by BBF »

Just as they got out on track for second practice the heavens opened, thunder, lightening torrential rain. A few brave soles went round but they soon came back in. reeves managed to get a quickish lap in an it looks as if he is going to get pole from Birchall, peach, hegarty,
Now its got even worse and they appear to have scrapped the session so who knows, its flooding the paddock now.

Soles as in fish yes it was that bad. Cloudburst. They had to put a board across the press office door cos it was running in like a river!

Some teams must have been out at the right / wrong time looking at the results. ;)

Some went out on slicks and of course it rained after one lap so that was the end of their track time but some went with wets and stayed out there a bit longer. But Tim was on slicks and managed to get one fast lap in before the heavens opened.
