GSXR 600 K7

Unread post by STEVIEBOY491 »

Hi there,

I have a completely stock K7 motor with clocks, ecu, loom etc. I could really do with some advice and experience on what I need to do to the loom to get me up and running.

I don't have a key so will need to mod the wiring and presumably put a resistor in place for the immobiliser. What relays, sensors are a must? and what can be lost? Is it better to have the O2 sensor fitted etc?

Please reply here, drop me a PM or call Steve on 07970597220.

Regards

Steve

Hi
first make a big copy of the eletric plan and put it in your workshop. Write down all compounds of the loom so that you understand what is what. You find this in the Suzuki workshop manual. Ask your dealer.
You have to glue the "fall down" sensor. Ask someone in your area to show you the first time.
If you can read the plan you will find the position to put your emergency switc in between.
about the key i dont know.
about the sitestand i dont know.
But use all sensors of the original bike.
Have fun, but if you do all right, it will start the first time you try it. Mine did.
bye Eckart

Definitely talk to Pete or Dean, they will help you out more than you can imagine.

They'll even tell you how many sugars to put in the tea/coffee  and then after that they won't let you make a fool of yourself by trying to do it alone. They're good people! :D
