Dave Saunders/Inkyann

Unread post by Fritz »

With us camped up at Kirk Michael FC for the first few days of the TT festival I grabbed the opportunity to watch the first practice on the Saturday evening from White House in the heart of the village. Solo escorted laps came and went then soon after escorted sidecars came through but Dave Saunders with his first time TT passenger Anne Garnish came to a halt opposite us with a steamy motor.

Image

Nothing more than a loose rad cap but the escort had gone and they had to sit out the rest of the session and wait for a pick up from their own crew.

She was really enjoying things and didn't seem too disheartened not to complete the lap.

Pick up crew were waiting at Douglas Road and were on the scene within minutes of the roads open.

Bike was looking at its best as you would expect.

Those are fab photos, thank you Fritz! It was a real pleasure to meet you properly at last. Also, BIG thanks to Andrew Reid, a Kirk Michael resident and ex-sidecar racer who came to our rescue with tools and water to help us top up the radiator and repair the cap.
