Police are appealing for information after a sofa was stolen from the TT Grandstand in Douglas.

The brown wicker sofa was taken at around 1am on Monday.

It's believed two men carried it from inside a secured area of the grandstand to the cemetery via the pedestrian crossing on Glencrutchery Road.

One man was wearing a grey tracksuit the other a black tracksuit.

Both were disturbed and ran off through the grounds of the cemetery a short time later.

Anyone who knows who is responsible is asked to contact Police Headquarters.

Police are looking for a pair of black and grey wicker nickers.

You probably do have to be a bit disturbed to "nicker wicker sofer" from the grandstand?

Charlie Kilduff and an accomplice spent the night in the cells in the IoM a number of years ago, they found an abandoned bench and thought it would be handy to sit on in the pits..around the campfire but the long arm of the law caught them as they carried it past the old prison

Why would anyone want to nick a sofa when you can buy one at 0% credit and nothing to pay for 10 years??
