Just emailed Phil Kelly as I've had to change a trailer to a van. I'm hoping to get the confirmation back tomorrow so I can pay the bill.

It's all to do with tides and wind. 1 day coming and 2 going back! The Steam Rackets ruled by wind!

Outward (the week before practice week) the boats won't be quite at full capacity; however returning race week, there is literally no space to get any more vehicles / passengers aboard, therefore allowing the Steam Packet monopoly to charge what they like.
Our outward crossing, Heysham - Douglas 0215 Thursday 23/05/13 - (6metre van; 4 metre trailer; 2 passengers) costs - £259
Return crossing, Douglas - Heysham 1945 Thursday 06/06/13 costs £115 more, £374 in total. (A total return price of £633)
