Hmmmmm, the year was circa 1981 when I first came across this machine during a trip to the Lydden circuit to attend a Marlboro Clubmans round of their series for up and coming riders for both solos and sidecars.

TBH the first time I saw it in motion it sounded wild and it was a missile in a straight line but it didn't like corners at all and at the time I was still into backing my old mate Ian Newton riding 250/350 TZ Yams which then led to a ride with Armstrong and finally an Aprillia 250 at all levels. Sidecars as a passion came some 10 years later, but this beast had to seen and heard to be belived,,,,,

The machine must have had loads of poke because in the photo I recently added to this post was taken at Mallory Park , as you can see the passenger is holding a broken chain,,,,, at the time I was training to be a Mechanic and had no clue of who or what Cosworth Engineering was all about

This machine is part of Sidecar History and should be driven at festivals a displays IMHO.

Regards,

Fritz,,,,,,,

Does anyone know if this machine still survives, with or without the engine...?? As Fritz says, wouldn't it be fantastic to see it being demonstrated again, albeit going slowly round the corners...
