It would be nice but as its never happened before ( thats why the TT went to the Isle of Man ) I cant see it happening now. Closing the A68 trunk road seems a bit odd. It would be nice though and just up the road from us. It would also be another reason to go back to F2s. :D

Did a quick search on Google maps and came up with this: http://g.co/maps/pcwx3 The circuit is the oval section of road in the middle (couldnt get the link to save zoomed in any more.

Looks fantastic!

I was speaking to a guy last week about this he was involved in the start up of the Jim Clark anual event . One of the conditions in getting the Jim Clark event through was the a68 being a main artery to the south could not be closed but there are many great roads around here, aparently Mr Salmond is keen on the idea and having say on transport issues it may be closer than most think I am confident he would like the feather in his cap before the southern government.
I recon the more people show interest in this the better rather than say "I tried it once but I did not get it".
Was also speaking to the chairman of the Border Ecosse Car club the MSA are in talks with the government trying to get road closure through more easily the Borders is buzzing with the thought.

I receive various press alerts for this almost every day. It seems to be getting good press coverage in some major places. It might not happen very soon but I think the people behind it are serious and will get there eventually.

Is there anyway affiliated clubs could get behind this to help lobby it along? most people I am speaking to are for it but most are into some form of motorsport. I am sure local business would appreciate the extra revenue this would bring.
