Hello Kev,
I've seen LCRs in Transits.
Are you ready for the season?
I took the shell off my racing snail thinking it would make him faster.
It just made him more sluggish.

not sure, but an lcr will fit through the backdoors of a '96 LWB Transit, bodywork has to be off though and put back on once its in, we also had to remove the bulkhead to have the fairing sitting back on the sidecar not sure if the newer ones are any longer

Hi Keith
I've seen LCRs in Transits.
Are you ready for the season?

Yep were all ready, painted and had it out and spent the weekend testing. What a great little outfit, the GS 500 twin and had all the mods its going to get (now sits at 527cc with some serious head work done... see piccy) and is all back together and produces enough power for a pair on Newbies to be playing with. Busy now working on the Supercharger set up for the motor. Sara still has a smile from ear to ear from the other days testing and we're already half making plans if we really get on well with it.....hence the question would a LCR fit in the back of the Transit. <GULP> might have to sell the beloved 539 Husky to help finance it though.

See you in April

Cheers
Kev

Yes it will fit, width is just ok it's the length that is an issue if not fitted with removable nose cone.

My 3.5te LWB 1998 (I think) had a bulkhead behind the seats and with the nose cone off there was about 40mm spare at rear doors

Fairing and wheel cover off (nose cone off). Build platforms on each side of van (one full length one short one for chair) to have outfit sit above wheel arch bumps. Easy to wheel outfit in and store parts underneath.

Lift and wheel into van then re-fit fairings. Not easy when knackered after racing!!

Cheers guys, this is really helpfull as we intent to learn the ropes with the sidecar we've just rebuilt.....and if we get on well and enjoy it, we intent to sell it and a few other of the toys and make a major investment into a LCR (I just love the engineering in them, more of an engineer than driver ). But having just bought a brand new tranny you can see the scenario

Many many thanks and if anyone could post some piccies theres a pint in it. :D
