contact paul hanson-forum name moonraker on here, as far as i remember front mounts welded to down tubes with removable spacer to rhs of engine. rear bottom mount welded to rails and rear top mount on 2 ally strips that went to top rear of motor
pipes exited along front of chair. need to have steady between heads as they used to flap about. the wheels were very soft ally so take care when changing wheels . if you get no joy from paul get in touch and i'll get some photos and info off him
cheers speech

hi, ive tried 2moonraker" as i saw an earlier post by him mentioning he owned one,but no reply(not been on here for a few months i believe).
as for the mounting thats great info, ive only one poor picture so far, ill try and repost it, it looks to me like the front is a bolted plate in triangle shape, the middle welded, and the rear like a clamp? but i dont know what year it was etc.
but on the left hand side i havent a picture, but because the engine is so onesided there is no frame to mount it too.
do you mean a head steady to the frame, or just between the two heads?
if you can get a picture or two id be very very greatfull.

Just a couple of other possible sources of information - I can remember 2 people running those bikes / engines - one was a guy called Nat Cole - from Rugeley area at the time - the other was a Scottish guy - can't remember his name though - and I think Joe Heys also ran Armstrong engine - whether anyone has any contact details is another thing - Joe is on here - but don't think he looks in too often...

It wasnt a Hopper they threw in the skip. It was a shed of a chassis with a fourstroke in. It fell apart coming into the Nook (nice slow place to crash). They took off what they wanted , put the chassis in the skip and went on a pub crawl around the cicuit with the van. They did a pub each day and slept in the van for the rest of the TT.
