Urgent...2012 Newcomers

The next Sidecar Newcomers weekend is 24,25,26 February, [celebrate.gif] and I urgently need to know who is coming, as Sophie in the TT office will be having holidays soon and we want to get your flights/crossings etc booked before she goes away :magic .
Just to clarify: If you are a newcomer passenger or driver and have not already had a trip here paid by the TT organisers, you are entitled to have your travel paid.
Accommodation is offered, free of charge, staying with slidey people here.
There are a couple of cars available here for laps... let me know ASAP if you want me to see if I can get one for you. These are NOT hire cars and are lent by individuals, so the principal that nothing corners like a hire car etc... does not apply  !
Mentors... experienced TT drivers and passengers are arranged... there are lots of them here... surprisingly enough... and they are always happy to oblige by going out for laps with you and sharing their knowledge.
Non-racing drivers... one of the things I am trying to avoid is accidents/arrests caused by temporarily forgetting you are not racing or practising but learning the geography of the course on OPEN roads. Therefore I have found a couple of real stars who are happy to drive you round and round the TT course until you are dizzy, without accidentally taking the racing line. This is a generous offer, and, believe me, if you meet an oncoming car, or get sent to Jurby Jail, you will wish you had taken it up. Having an independent driver frees you and your mentor to think racing, without taking the risks.
When you book, please give me your name / address / name of your driver or passenger / email address and phone and/or mobile number. Tell me if you want to travel by boat (with small van or car) or fly, and if flying, which airport. All this info will be shared with Sophie, so she can book you on the boat/plane you want.
Finally, and MOST importantly. ALL correspondence, PLEASE, to helenbmerry@manx.net.
I get Facebook messages, messages on here, PMs here and obscure messages all over the place. I am easily confused, so ONLY emails... I can file those and keep track.
You will find that is the only way you can get in touch with the TT organisers, so practice on me...OK!

Guys... I now URGENTLY need to know exactly who is coming. I only have a couple of you. If that's all there is, ok, but please don't leave it to the last minute and then say "Oh, I thought you knew I was coming!". The TT team are now up to at least their waists in entries and people's questions about entries... they are the ones who book your trip so... get in touch...no... not tomorrow...NOW!

Also, can I ask all of you who are coming across at regular intervals or on unscheduled visits, to let me know. It all looks good statistically for us, and may be useful to you, if you ever need to support a bid to race!

If you're here and need any help... accommodation, loan of a car, bailing out of Jurby... well, maybe not that, but any kind of practical help, or just a brew and a chat... pop in.... it's always good to see (most of) you!!

NO, you would have to be part of a team and have entered as someone's passenger. You have to qualify for the right level of licence, and have held that for a year. You also have to have finished in 6 qualifying races in the previous year.
Are you part of a team at the moment?
Helen

I was on a team, and I would like to know how to participate in a thousand and I sent mails but have not yet figured out how to participate.
The 6 races are national or international?
the license must be national or international?
If I do 6 races with a team can participate as a passenger with another team? Thank you for your help.
