Congratulations to two ex sidecar men, Ted Fenwick age 83! winner of 2011 pre tt classic 250 race and Ian Ward age 68 second place in the same race. Both from York, both riding ducatis, Ian started racing in 1966 as passenger to Ted, Ted was also a very accomplished passenger, having ridden with Max Deuble, his last race as a passenger was with me in 1997 then age 70.Ian was my passenger on many occasions and was one of the best, well done to both of you.

Congratulations to both, I'll show this to the wife, just to prove I've still got plenty of time left.

Hi Geoff, as you well know i am still a youngster, twenty two years younger than Ted, so hopefully a bit more racing left in me !In fact i am prepairing the bike for the three day classic at Spa in july to which i have been invited to ride. I bet you wish you were riding there. Why not build yourself a replica of your dads BSA and join the other old has beens? The quote about tz 750s been the most exciting bikes to race is so true , i would not have missed it for anything but the thought of rushing down to Brandish at over 170 mph again might just make us realise we are just a little bit older.

Yes, Howard, and you only go back one gear for Brandish these days!!
