I asked the ACU and they told me that they were waiting for tests on the bar coding to be carried out on the computer system on the IOM.
No good worrying, if they don't send them we can't show them.

Having just watched the official 2011 TT Launch, it crossed my mind as to whether Connor Cummins, Bruce Anstey etc will have completed the requisite number of meetings to qualify for the Mountain Course Licence. Connor Cummins has not, as far as I know, raced since his big accident at last year's event. If the idea of the 'six meetings' requirement is to ascertain a competitor's readiness to do the TT, how would an injured rider qualify (medical considerations aside)?
Please don't jump down my throat, I think it is amazing that Cummins is even considering doing the TT again. I just wonder if the rules are applied, er, differently in the case of a well-known star as opposed to a journeyman 'holiday-racer' sidecar competitor.
Just wondered.....

I might be wrong but if they completed 6 races between the 1st April and TT last year, I think that would make them eligible for this years TT.

Lisa you're quite right qualifying races period starts 1st April 2010 - 31st March 2011 I believe qualifying and completing a race at the TT counts toward two signatures also so if Connor raced last year before TT and with the signatures from last year's TT he'll only be one or two away if not already qualified. Watched TT3D last night and saw Connors crash completely agree with you Bruce fair shout to getting back out this year.

Bonjour Monsieur ‘gravelrashed’ . . .Although not sure of all the races, I think you will find that the meetings Connor did before the TT, BSB, Northwest etc, plus TT will be adequate for his mountain licence, .

Yep, he will easily have enough races under his belt during the qualifying period to qualify for a mountain course licence, especially as the TT counts as 2 (one for qualifying, one for finishing in a race). But given that he will have practically had a year off, isn't that what the licence is supposed to avoid?
