Guys

At a new track and my Shelbourne has major headshake / tankslapper when braking into the fast corners

We checked disks, looked for cracks, checked the steering head play, and done all sorts with tyre pressures and still haven't nailed it

Any ideas

The Tyres are all Hoosiers

Mick

thats a point...have you changed anything on your brakes...pad type or your brake bias.....possibly sounds like your brakes are too strong on the front......

dampers are mainly fitted to the f2 lcr's(fitted as standard)...and used at the tt by a few others....but im sure you have a brake issue...

Thats a good idea Ian you can start developing Hoosiers.   Seriously there has got to be some opposition to Avons . The prices of tyres could be the final straw for some of us from next year on.

They disguise problems, they don't fix them

I want to thank everyone for their hints & tips.

The track we were racing on was in Cayuga, ontario, Canada.

There were 2 long straights in succession and with the hard braking the bike was shaking like a bastard at the ends of these straights.

It's never needed a damper before and we managed to fix the problem by going higher on all of the tires than we have before - 20 lb all around. We normally do 16 front, 16 back, and 15 chair.

Anyway we won both races so thanks for your help again.
