got chains for the truck, but have never used them. when i was doing italy, we used to spend days at a time driving on snow (in artic`s) just slow down, dont take stupid chances, and travel only if you HAVE to in these conditions. its the `brave` idiots who cause the problems.

Been teaching wife to drive in the snow ,first thing she does puts the brakes on and wonders why we slide :roll: USE THE GEARS !! :o be smooth and you will be fine :lol:

Coming back from Scarbourough the other day, learner driver having lesson pulls straight out of side road had to take evasive action !! :roll:
sorry ladies but SHE was to busy chatting to the instructor to notice the junction :evil: if I had not known what to do she would be dead now my car weighs over a ton and she was in a clio (its as easy as that !)

So my point is take your time and pay attention :P
