I was lucky enough to be the passenger on the above machine for the 1990 TT, our first outing in leg 1 ended at quarter bridge with a seized motor..
Eric Bregazzi was kind enough to loan us a spare 350 barrel so we could start the second leg.
Before the off Dez told me to stay in the middle of the platform so he could lift the chair wheel as we exited Parliament Square in the knowledge one of the Island photographic boys would nick the shot.
We went on to finish in nineth place and I am still sure we could have made it higher up the order if we hadn't had a late rear sprocket change which made us over geared.
Anyway I left the island early the next morning ,but left some cash with a friend who was asked to go to Island Photographics ,,,,,
he returned to the mainland with this fantastic shot...

I have loads more I can share with you guys, I just need a good few days of copying the images as most are prints and some stunning ones on slides from places long forgotten such as Flookburgh in the south lakes, Carnaby and Elvington.

I remember taking some good shots of a naked CBX Honda ridden by some mad bloke called Holden.

At a guess this may have been the start to leg 1 of 2 by the look of the cub scouts watching the action, here is me me trying to keep out of the draft......

And Finally this shot of us trying a few things out at Jurby prior to our nice finish in the second leg....

Neil Becket is good guy who loves racing, and loves gadgets,,,,,a nice chap to know....

And 'Pompino' means blowjob in Italian...for those who didn't like to ask.

I managed to secure £500 worth of sponsorship from International Confectionery Services only days before we sailed to the isle of man.....

After our fine 9th place finish ( with Silver Replicas) we had a tally up and Dez told me it had been the first time he had raced at the IOM and had broken even.

I wondered why shots like this one were never repeated during the following years of the TT, it turns out the radius edge of the kerbing and footpath as seen in the shot were ' Trimmed' back to allow everyone to straight line this section since .)

(You can check it out for your self next time you call in at the Petrol station opposite the exact spot )

I've got a cracking picture of the first time me and Des tried to lift the wheel at Ramsey on the long bike with the GSX motor. The pavement had been altered during the winter and stuck out into the road further, this meant Des had to change his line, so I said drive your normal line , I'll lift the wheel over the pavement, it worked. Must do a copy of that photo for Des
