He went back to Australia a few years back not heard much about him lately but i know a man that will know what he's up to so will find out.
He lived a few doors from me in the 90s when all the sidecar speedway guys were over from Oz. He also let me have a ride on his roadrace outfit at mallory. Top sidecar man and chassis builder.

And it runs in the family,daughter Amy beating the boys ....

http://www.mcnews.com.au/MotorcycleRaci ... report.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Juniors also featured on the packed schedule of racing with Amy Pinfold (Honda 150) beating the boys in the final bout but a DNF in race one cost her the chance of the round win with Aidan Hopkins (Moriwaki 80) taking that honour along with the fastest lap of the day.

I was at home on monday night and there was a knock on the door. Who the F@%K that at this time of night, i thought. Opened the door and it was Paul Pinfold. He said he was over on some family business so he thought he'd look me up.
He said he's still hard at it racing in Australia, LCR Honda fireblade. He also told me about his daughter that is racing a 125 and doing very well.
It must be 15 years since the last time i saw him and he still looks the same. He just wasn't limping as much as he use to.
He's coming back over in Sep/ Oct time this year and said he would like to sort out a ride at the sidecar festival. So he needs to sort out a bike.
It would be great to see him out there again, so if you have a bike that Paul could ride let us know.

Thats great Steve. I think he could ride just about anything and be fast. Remember him telling me, "brakes what do you need them for". I've got some photos of his TZ 350 that he let me ride at mallory in the 90s. I'll scan them and send them to you. Its a bit different.

Yep, Paul was here at my place Monday with Andy Glenie. The new speedway series out there sounds fantastic $5000 each round for a win, all televised and prize money right the way down by all accounts. His son Paul Jnr is getting married today.

I recall him at Mallory with one of those huge twin cylinder Wasp 1000cc sidecar cross motors,early days of f2 I think.

I understand Paul is also instrumental in organizing the Gary Moon "Dash for Cash" Sidecar International Grass Track at Ashorne , just off Junction 13/14 of the M40 between Warwick and Gaydon , on the 22/23 August .
