Don't know them just wondered if they are relatives of Bludge & Will Smith etc. Watched them in action in 1984 Clubmans championship last night on DVD very impressive win at Silverstone on a short TZ750 machine ;)

Not related. One of the brothers lives in Spain now.

One is registered on here, can't remember which but I'm sure he'll say hello if he sees this bit.

Sorry it was actually 1985 and there was also a driver called Mike Smith in the race with Kevin Webster as his passenger Steve's brother i believe, was Mike related to Bludge etc then?

Also in same race into the first turn off the start a certain Gary Knight crashed having been run into by another outfit, was that the same Gary Knight racing now? Also his passenger was Phil Coombes, is he related to Steve Coombes who races an F2 now?
So many questions

Yes, twas I and the Combez.
Mark and Jaqui Reagan spun into us going into the first corner and took us out.
We were livid. We had qualified on the front row but due to some cok-up they had us down on row 4 as we lined up, and a certain 'ample gentleman' refused to let us move and threatened to ban us from the series if we held the meeting up any longer! - we shouldn't have been anywhere near Mark and Jaqui. Brand new fairing and paint job too! We got to do an interview with Murray Walker afterwards though :p
Was a long night fibreglassing back home, then up to Carnaby next day with a very battered bike.
Phil isn't related to Steve. I still see Phil for a gallon or two on most Thursday. He does a lot of trials riding these days.

Wonder what happened to the Reagan sisters?

Barry Smith is in NZ, still does some cart racing. Dave lives in Spain and spent quiet a bit of time in our camp at Salzburgring Superside in 2006. Still mad for it

And here we are a few weeks later on the aforementioned battered bike.
Nice hair cuts!

I'm pretty sure Webbo has this bike now and is putting a TZ500 in it - it was found recently in a barn with a GPz900 in it :?

Mick Smith is from near York and raced with Kevin Webster (Steve's brother). Saw him at the TT this year, he looked well, not changed much.

And I'm not related to Gary Knight (that I know of).

Is Richard Holdsworth related to Reg? (bet you've never been asked that before!).

Would love to see or get a copy of that DVD. Of the 1985 Silverstone Marlboro Clubmans race.
