Last night I took the liberty of speaking to Bob Adams (Circuit Manager) and after a fairly lengthy conversation, he has said that if you queue outside Gate 21 (paddock gate) from 5pm on Sunday, he will allow Monday competitors into paddock 3 as soon as it is clear and allow access to Paddocks 2 and 1 as soon as the MG Car Club are completely clear. He anticipates this to be around 7.30pm but if the car club are running late, it may be as late as 9pm.

This is possible because (quite by chance) one of the BARC Rescue crews are staying on site until Monday morning, thus providing fire cover etc.

Security at Donington Park is now run by Mackenzie Arnold and the on site manager Jim is a very reasonable man. PLEASE wait in the appropriate places until you are told you may enter as I have asked them for this as a personal favour.

Have a safe one.
Dave,

Thank you, greatly appreciated, take care

Even though Im not there,Id like to express my thanks to Mr Stewart for all his efforts, and for taking the time to explain to us competitors how things work, regarding circuit hire etc.
Gordon, yes still have the items we talked about.
We are not at Donnington cheifly because its a one day meeting, and Im not prepared to travel outside the North East of England for one day meetings any more, diesel is too expensive.
I raced at Croft last weekend for 2 days for £260,and I could sleep in my own bed on a nite.
So theres no way Im paying £200 pounds plus diesel, plus meals etc for 1 day.If it had been 2 days wed be there.
Ill probably see you at Cadwell, the first of the two day Post Classic/350 meetings.

Are you in any hurry - can it wait till our paths cross ?

Couldn't agree more Tony - the one-day meetings are just crazy cost-wise - for me - I'd sooner do less meetings - but all 2-day - as you say the cost of diesel is too much - I was talking to a guy a couple of weeks ago who's making fuel from chip oil - and am seriously thinking of looking at doing the same - if I can do it - would make a big difference to our travel costs.
Ill probably see you at Cadwell, the first of the two day Post Classic/350 meetings.
If you're doing the Jock Taylor at E.Fortune - we may see you there - I'm very tempted - even though it's not a championship round (pity) - we were treated so well last time - and the entry fee I think is probably better than a lot of the meetings we do.

Yes Gordon,no worries we can keep the stuff till Cadwell.
Wont be doing the Jock Taylor unfortunantly,as by the time it was announced Id already penciled in too much for that mounth.
We are doing all the NEMRC rounds, which means,2 at East Fortune, and 1 at Knockhill,as well as Cadwell, and Anglesey with the FSRA,not doing the last Cadwell as Halloweens too late in the year. Also doing the VMCC 100 bikes. All 2 day meetings.

Not been on here for a couple of days as I have been away so only just seen this, but pity none of the F350/Post Classic teams didn't call me about this, has one of the FSRA reps for the class I could have made all the enquiries on thier behalf, and got it sorted, thank you Dave in my abcense.. First time I have ever heard of no competitors being allowed into a circuit until the morning of the event and that's over 30 years.
