We've had DNFs DNS, and had weekends canceled due to Lanyard switches. They seem to fail with vibrationa nd temperature or just due to bad luck. Spades fall off and soldered connections brake.
I don’t use one any more. I use a 2 way superseal connector with a loop of wire on the back connected to a curly lanyard. The loop is fastened with a spade connector taped together with rubber self combining tape. I also have a secondary, easily accessible fuse mounted In my fuel pump relay as backup.
I've tested it and the tape/spade combo breaks with about the same force as a lanyard switch, but it's never shown any hint of unreliability.
I wont go back to a non "solid state" solution. Unless someone make a reliable AND reasonably priced alternative. I'm not paying 50 quid for the same basic system mounted in a fancy CNC milled housing.

how does this look?
its simple, can be taken apart and cleaned and is easy to fit.
the case is 25mm2 and the lead is 600mm.
if there is enough interest the price would be about £15 inc PnP without a cord.(i figure we all have them kicking about). Lead-time will be about a week.
