I see a point of utter madness here - something is deemed too late to be added to the AGM Agenda but can then be raised and voted on at the AGM with no previous notification. How totally democratic or are there other influences in play here? Just asking as a curious bystander ...

FSRA members were aware of any proposal and those which were passionate enough to make thier voice heard attended, the AGM.........if you are interested in joining for your chance to have your say on the any future 350/ Post Classic championship, contact Marion Carnell for a membership form.
We cannot keep track of anyone who no longer races and who for that matter is not a FSRA member who may have an opinion,

Yes Gordon,it was voted on at the AGM by the 350 runners that were present,as you say,it would have been better to canvas a few more people first, who, for various reasons may have been unable to attend the AGM,as you know,I attended the AGM,at a considerable expense to myself, because,it would appear that, those who dont turn out for the AGM dont appear to count, now that you have a new rep, things may hopefully change. As you know,Im a Post Classic runner, and not a 350,but I do feel that its in both classes interests to get as many bikes on both grids as possible, therfore I would urge lrb,to come out and race if you possibly can, because if you dont, now that 350 2 strokes appear to be unelligible for F2 anymore, you may have no option but to cover up your bikes in the future.

Passionate enough or wealthy enough? I had to work that day like I work most Saturdays to fund my racing (which I am very passionate about).

Not wishing to "stir" up any trouble here

- but Pat does have a valid point...
We cannot keep track of anyone who no longer races and who for that matter is not a FSRA member who may have an opinion,
However - I may be wrong here - but as far as I know - there was nothing on the Agenda other than the usual election of officials & year end reports - the only thing that would cover it was "Any other business" at the end of the meeting.
I don't know how the club rules work when it comes to having a proposal that requires a vote - but it might have been a good idea to have that proposal included on that Agenda so that the interested members could have made the extra effort to attend (if they thought it worth the effort)
I did try to get it added to the Agenda on the 30th Oct - but was told it was too late...
Jeff (the chef) - I hope you'll re-consider your thoughts on my "stirring" abilities ? - you may not know - but I didn't actually oppose the proposal before - or at the AGM - as I said in my reply to Tony:
"I didn't go to the AGM myself - I had other things going on - but I took the view (personally) that the limited capacity increase shouldn't be a problem - as long as it was also a condition of entering the series - that engines would be checked at every meeting - if that hadn't been part of the deal - I wouldn't be taking part."
I was never against anyone using available engines or trying to keep the costs in check....
