Are you sure that's Tony Starke? I only remember him on a BSA??
The second bike looks like the Ali Saab.

I remember that meeting Geoff I was there on my ex Dave Mallon Windle BSA. The Dale Ward saab was really a beautiful creation.

Sorry to go off topic. Tony Starke made a come back in the mid 90's running a 350.
As a "youngster" I remember him having some titanic, fairing bashings with Bill Crooke & Kenny Arthur at Cadwell.
If my memory serves me right???, I think it was Oulton Park, Tony's passengers helmet came off but Tony carried on at full chat until he was black flagged

Again off topic[ but from i saw a few days ago it can sometimes be excused ]

I recall the same thing at Oulton, helmet coming off Kieth Scott when on with Chris Vincent again being black flagged

Tony Stark rode the Becket Saab after Dale Ward. The photo from Cadwell at Hall Bends is definatley not Dale and Margaret. They were of a smaller build than the pair on the photo. and Eddy is refering to the Croft, Silloth weekend I mentioned in 73 ,I think. ;)

Re; Dale Ward, delighted to say Dale is enjoying retirement, indulging his grand children, and still inventing motorised ride ons for them in his work shop.Met up with Dale two weeks ago at a reunion of staff from the now defunct N.C.C. central worckshops where dale spent nearly 40 years of his working life. Many of the people mentioned in the post are still in touch,Terry Beckett, his daughter Margaret, former passenger Grahame Alcock still racing a '69 Triumph outfit, and lots of former solo riders all part of a circle of bikers who became friends in the 'sixties, and still united by a love of the best kind of motor cycle sport, OUTFITS!
