we have a blr.
runs an r1 on carbs.
scruffy at present but will be shiny soon hehe
first inpression compared to our asco is moving it around.
the asco is sort of balanced and is easy to push around back of van and workshop.
also we lift sidecars in workshop with engine hoist.
the asco is balanced lifting.
the blr needs to be lifted all from the back.
moving the blr in van or workshop is different.
the rear is glued to the ground. 2x blokes cant lift it.
the front of the blr can be lifted with one hand around workshop.

thats the first difference.
have only tried a few laps of mallory on the blr and out of the box i felt i could go faster than on the asco.
sadly the last owner was not my size so we are on a learning curve.
its was a nice ride to see the difference though.
testing the blr at mallory soon again.
its a strong old thing, far less room for passenger than the asco....but he says its ok as maybe asco has too much room. interesting comment.

if your just thinking of buying or starting sidecars.....we have just started...its great and the people we have met are stonking.

dont think there is much data for blr........maybe suck it and see
as soon as we are comfy and my legs fit we will be out on it.
wouls love to hear from anyone who has a new body for it...
hope this helps.
