Hi Howard, no, the chassis I had was built by George O'Dell. A copy of the Renwick but with 13" wheels.

Done a bit of digging around and it would seem Dick Greasley rode a Windle in 76 and 77 with Schauzu on a Busch in 76. Could anyone confirm if this is correct?

Schauzu rode the Fath Aro (a 500cc 2-stroke) to fourth in the 1976 500cc Sidecar TT; and a Busch BMW to second in the 1976 1000cc Sidecar TT.

Dick had a Windle The same time as George O'Dell, that would be 1976-1977.

Just to confirm what I was waffling on about , this is from the October 1975 Brands meeting with Derek and Peter shortly to remove this Yamaha engine for Gerry and Nick to take with them over the winter for the BRS build..so the 1975 Boret outfit shows it was still a Renwick, with George and Alan presumably on the 'Renwick copy' . Until the summer of 1975 Derek's outfit had Weslake power , until the ex Ron Chandler Yamaha engine was fitted.Malcolm can confirm , was passengering with the Weslake.

Hi Terry, that pic is of George on the Renwick Konig not the "copy".
George never ran a Yamaha in the Renwick, only in the copy.
The Boret's are also on a Renwick Konig but with the "rounded" edge fairing which they developed, where as George is on the Renwick with the "square" edge fairing. I think I'm right in saying that?? :?

1984 f2, spoke to cliff today. The chassis was a one off, built by a university lecturer and his students somewhere down south.
It had a single sided swing arm and also single shock on the front.
It was sold to a passenger at the time either end of 84 or early 85

I would stand corrected but I think Dave Saville only ever rode Shelbourne bikes with Yamaha engines in this period.

Messrs Abbott and Smith had Windle Yamahas
Anyhow since 1957

I cannot provide the years, but Dave Saville definitely rode a Windle chassis in at least one TT in the late 1980's, although later he certainly had a Shelbourne (I'm sure in 1990, the first year of being a purely "F2" class he used a Shelbourne chassis). The Windle was sold to John Scarth (from Leyburn, whose passenger was future TT winner Peter Hill), then at the end of 1991 to Steve Langham. (This outfit had a "longer" swinging arm to use at the TT - a number of front-running current competitors have been doing similar over the last couple of years).

"1978 Graham Milton/John Brushwood – Milton Magnum (i assume from the post above this was a Milton chassis and Magnum engine?)"
The proper title for the machine was British Magnum. The engines, gearboxes and chassis were all constructed from scratch by messrs. Milton, Wakefield and Williamson. I personally sponsored them in the seventies with transit vans. Entrant was Paul Taylor (BJE) Ltd of Peterborough.
